Performance drop when you switch on picture in picture
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

frame rate drops in half if you turn on the PIP (eg rear-view mirror in the car), even if it is turned on and set low. If you turn off the FPS returns to normal. My hardware: I7 3770K. GTX 690. 8GB RAM. I think this option needs to be optimized.

I think that's normal. Considering that PiP has to render a second "screen" which takes a huge amount of processing power. Remember the days, playing split-screen with your buddies on consoles? Either details were getting lost or framerate goes to hell...

Exactly the same thing...

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Then I do not understand why make this feature, if even on my computer so slow. Most will not be able turn it on on minimum settings.
