DX11error : CreateBuffer failed : E_OUTOMEMORY
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

This error repeatedly occurs when playing in any singleplayer mission or Multiplayer server.

I have decent fps and it runs real smooth but I always get this error and can never play arma 3 for more than 5 minutes.

I have 4gs of ddr2 ram and In the Task manager it seems to be using around 3.3gs and maxing my system out.

Used -maxmem=3028 -nosplash -skipintro
launch options

Arma 3 still uses more than 3gigs of ram. {F17797}

Happened every time and makes the game unplayable.

Additional Information

Without those launch options on It makes the lobby browser slow at time and can be unresponsive even give an error when and doesn't load up the multiplayer server.

With the -maxmem=# parameter it makes loading into multiplayer servers easier, less crashes.

To add to this issue. I today installed 8gb of memory into my laptop to see if arma 3 would like to use more memory.

It seems as if the extra memory does nothing. Memory usage never goes above 3.5g and crashes with the same error saying out of memory even though there is still 4g+ that can be used.

Demosthenes; are you sure your motherboard can support 8GB of RAM?

Yes, I contacted ASUS and a technical supervisor explained to me that the motherboard ships with 4gb of memory bit and is upgrade-able to 8gb. While confirming with other ASUS customers who successfully upgraded their system.

I Tried different Dev version to no avail, the game sure does look beautiful though and runs smoother than arma 2 did on my first try at it, Will be trying different beta drivers from time to time and see if I can find a temp fix.
