When respawning, it would be nice to have a confirmation box, instead of the current "instantly kill and respawn player" system. I can't think of a use case where one would benefit from the 2 seconds saved by skipping a confirmation box, versus the possible many accidential misclicks one would get from game lag from a medium system.

This should definitely be high priority. So many times have I suicided by accident in a Wasteland match just because I missed the Options button by a few pixels.
As far as i know the respawn is a custom-made script so any issues with it aren't a ArmA3 problem and should be reported to the author.
If in this case you are using the default respawn "setup" that you can find in editor guides and such, it's your fault to not introduce a confirmation dialog.

We're not talking about the actual server respawn script, but rather the "Respawn" button in the the game's ESC menu. We only want to have a confirmation dialog, for example just like the "Suicide" option in Battlefield games.
Even the official coop missions from Bohemia kill you instantly when you click Respawn, not to mention having to contact every custom mission developer out there to add a respawn confirmation would be a huge mess.
Definitely an important issue, even if under-voted... and I'm sure it's simple to improve the one-click respawn system.
I've killed myself a few times when trying to access the options menu, by pressing the wrong button, which is very frustrating after spending time and effort collecting weapons or getting to a certain position.
