Cartridge in chamber still not implemented
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When reloading a weapon that still holds a cartridge/a shell in the chamber the amount of ammunition loaded with the next magazine has to be increased by 1.

For example: EBR with a 20 Round magazine, loaded with exactly 20 rounds.
The player shoots 10 rounds and reloads (with a full magazine from his inventory). The weapon is now loaded with 21 rounds and the player has a spare magazine in his inventory with 9 rounds remaining.

Battlefield 3 can do it, Call of Duty can do it, I believe you can do it aswell.

It's not really a bug.. if you see the reload animation, it re-cocks the gun everytime you reload and it "ejects" the 1 bullet that was already loaded.

@Kid18120 And this is a bug aswell, no soldier would waste ammo this way.

More like a design flaw than a bug

Yes this is true but it's way down on the priority list for me. Save it for Patch 1.62.102591 or something :)

This should be fixed, no matter what. The bullet chamber is quite an important thing when you're operating and using a firearm. It's kind of disappointing, that a military sim isn't able to imitate the reality in this regard, while an arcade shooter like Battlefield 3 is able to do so.

Totally agree with Reuter.

Noone said that wont be fixed!
It worked on A1 and A2 so why it shouldn't in A3 ?

It's an Alpha, don't forget that.
Alot of features are still WIP or not even implemented!!

That's the reason I reported this as feature, not as a bug.
