Aircraft not Affected by Wind
Reviewed, HighPublic

Description

If you set the wind up maximum, along with the gusts value. It doesn't affect the Helicopters controls. Compared to the flex of the grass and the speed of the clouds you'd expect the aircraft to succumb to the force of the wind.

This is not really an issue and very very trivial. However it would be something that would be fantastic to have. Since flying / hovering in varying weather conditions does affect realism and is something taken into consideration when in combat.

Yep very good idea ! Maybe wind can have the same effect on balistic ( mortar..) ?

Would be (optional) really great. Not 100 percent realistic (way too heavy) but some woobling...

ACE2 had wind ballistics and wind-meters. Would be great to have it here. I'm sure it will be modded in sooner or later.

The proper flight model hasn't been added yet (TOH flight model) so I guess this feature is coming later

Dagonath, I'm new here, willing to help out with helicopter physics.

Can you please explain to me what the TOH flight model is? Are you saying that in a next update with the TOH model, things will improve?

I'd like to see this implemented on planes too, the little things make it seem more realistic.

If we could get trim along with that I would be impressed.

I was JUST about to make a ticket for this :D

I had 30 (whatever that is) winds with 50 gusts and I couldnt feel a thing

Is it confirmed that TOH will be the flightmodel? I can't find any confirmation on that?

Should be not a load more work to implement wind for bullets too so let's hope they implement it for helicopters and bullets.
