Downloading new mission file generally causes game to stop responding
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Joining a new "Wasteland" server makes you download a mission file for that server. Every new mission file I've downloaded has crashed my game and caused the "ARMA 3 has stopped responding" error.

Rejoining the same server again is generally ok and join normally.

We need dxdiag and files from this folder to solve your problem. C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3 Alpha\

Can you upload it somewhere in winrar package please?
If package is smaller than 5,000kb, you can attach it here. Thank you.

I've encountered this as well. I'll see if I can get some data when I get home.

Unfortunately it's over 5mb.

UPDATE: I might have fixed the issue. I was running an FPS counter in game through MSI afterburner. Having read somewhere it was causing issues, I disabled that and I also updated my graphics drivers to the latest beta drivers.

I think it was probably the MSI fps counter honestly. Seems to have fixed it for now.

Seems to be resolved.
