Cannot take items out of vehicles unless you enter as driver first

Description

I am unable to take equipment out of vehicles. When trying to move a primary rifle into the right socket, all the other sockets go red which is good, but it just won't accept the primary rifle in it's right socket.

Getting into the vehicle once will usually allow you to take items.

Possible locality issue.

it works if you get into the vehicle then exit and then try to take the gear

I can confirm that it is purely when approaching a new vehicle that has not been used yet.

Mass closing ancient tickets with no activity this year; assume fixed or too trivial etc.

If this issue is still relevant in current dev build, please create a new ticket referencing this one and request for it to be re-opened.
