Vehicle analogue movement feature missing
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Although there are options to raise and lower the collective analogue for helicopters, there's still no analogue option for the vehicle movement (forward and backward).

Would be nice if this will be brought into the game as well.

I know this is not a bug, but a feature which ARMA 3 should have at last.

Using a Logitech Driving Force GT, combined pedal axis, I was able to get an analogue control by setting one pedal to "Move forward - Fast" and the other to Brake/reverse.

It is very useful for moving forward at a pace that you like.
(Give assigning pedals to lean left/right for analogue leaning :D )

I got both.. a Logitech G27 and a Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X. An analogue steering feature for vehicles would be very welcome for all users of steering wheels and not only for Joystick owners. ARMA is perfect for this, coz its one of few games who supports multiple controllers at the same time.

ARMA is a Simulation for all sorts of troops, so why should only Pilots join the analogue feature and not the Car and Tank drivers?

It did work with ArmA 2. For the large driving sections it /was/ very useful (felt natural with 900 degrees of rotation). If my wheel was working properly, I'd keep trying to work out a way, but it might simply not be implemented yet.

Works fine for me using a Logitech G13. Analogue throttle/brake and steering.

Axes mapped to forward/fast, brake/reverse, left, right.

I completely agree, it would be nice to see some proper wheel and pedal support, clutch and shifter would be nice too ;)

Pedal support (including analog speed) are in the game, as showcased in one of Dslyecxi's videos.
