I have a similar issue. Specifically, while running the game, my GPU appears to suffer an error and shut down. My monitors lose video, and after a few seconds, applications running in the background (Such as music) hang. The computer never actually shuts off however and no crash is recorded, either by Windows or by the game.

There doesn't seem to be any specific action beyond playing that causes it and the time until the failure varies.

I'm running an AMD 6950 1GB
Attached as "Report.png" are the relevant portions from EventViewer. After those messages are just a few things about services stopping, with no reasons given.

Me too. I have experienced this issue more than twice.

We need dxdiag and files from this folder for solve your problem. C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3 Alpha\

Can you upload somewhere in winrar package please?
When package will be smaller than 5,000k, so you can attach here. Thank you.

I'll be able to upload a dxdiag shortly, but the ArmA 3 Alpha folder has no crashlogs. The entire computer was crashed, not just the game.

After trying a few more times, I've seem to have found a possible cause. It seems that VRAM usage starts off at around 600MB, then slowly keeps increasing. The crashing only happens when it almost reaches 1GB, which is the total amount on my card. Never seen a game manage to cause that though...

I went to the trouble of grabbing the relevant files out of the duplicate ticket and uploading them here, however the tracker now seems to have a 2MB file size limit, so I uploaded the crash dumps to my own server: http://maddogx.com/arma3/crashdump.7z

You're welcome.

Do you have still same issue in actual version?

I had this twice, and I just thought i clocked my GTX660 too far that caused this. Then again, after downstepping my clockspeed back to 10% I havent had this issue again.

Just my 2cents worth.

Now the kernel crashes. -nobenchmark does not help

Can you try play on low overall graphic settings?
Maybe will be enough set shadow to standart.

Maybe that was problem in my videocard. I fix it now with MSI afterburner. Overclock problem by manufacturer.

Do you have still this issue or is it gone after fix with MSI afterburner?

I actually had this issue Sunday evening, joined a server and it was just black. When i hit escape, i can see the menu and in game picture, but if i resumed, it went black again. Not sure if it's the same exact issue, since i also run msi after burner, but the problem can be resolved by restarting ARMA.

I to had this twice, both cases I think since 0.74 (stable and dev).
Sound still works, screen is black, task manager says arma 3 not responding.
not after a few minutes but an hour or so ingame.
