Game Version number: Arma Reforger stable version 1.4.0.45
Modded?: No
Issue Description:
For a novice shooter using an optical sight, common issues include Рarallax (image displacement), potential darkening or distortion at the sight's edges, and difficulty in achieving a consistent sight picture due to improper eye relief or head position.
However, the game has a clear problem with the parallax effect of optical devices. It is clearly not the same for different weapons, which is very strange in itself, because in reality it depends on the shooting training of a person, and not on the device (correctly configured). Examples of uneven Parallax in the game are given in the video.
This problem is very painful for players and especially affects the number of cases of using APCs in the game (few people want to be a shooter in an APC - you have to assign). Among the players, there are people with military training who are outraged by the unrealistic Parallax.
It is important to understand who we are playing in the game? Is our hero a soldier or a civilian who has taken up arms for the first time and got into an armored personnel carrier?
I would also like to draw your attention to the fact that the shooter in the APC or tank has special forehead rests. Such rests fix the shooter's head when aiming (the eye is always in line with the sight) and protect the head from impacts. They almost completely eliminate the parallax effect (only if the device is configured incorrectly, then the parallax will be - constant).
I kindly ask you to bring the parallax effect of optics into line with realistic parameters (slight displacement). And if our hero is a soldier, then it can be eliminated completely - this is more realistic than what we have now.
The video below: 1st is more or less realistic parallax; 2nd is absolutely unrealistic parallax (especially for an APC).
