It seems like a different scenario - the gas is visible, but the strike can't be heard.

Update: We witnessed an M79 fire a 40mm PO-X grenade tonight and we have come to the conclusion that it may have been that FT encountered last week.

We were expecting the radius of the gas to be similar to the hand launched PO-X Vial but it was much more.
