Pixelated foliage on AMD GPU
New, NormalPublic

Description

Dear AMD Team,

Hello, I am a huge fan of DayZ. I have spent over 1500 hours in the game and have gifted it to many of my friends to enjoy this unique gaming experience together. However, I am facing a significant issue. Since I have an AMD GPU, I periodically experience very low GPU utilization in cities, causing unstable FPS.

Additionally, there is another highly unpleasant problem: when enabling Smoothen Foliage, vegetation becomes extremely pixelated, making the game difficult to play due to excessive flickering and shimmering.

I am one of many users who continuously report these issues on AMD forums. We have been waiting for more than two years for a fix, but no solution has been provided so far. AMD has acknowledged the FPS drop issue in cities and even released a driver update, but it did not resolve the problem. As for the pixelation issue, it also remains unaddressed and is an even bigger obstacle to fully enjoying the game.

I have already considered switching to an Nvidia GPU, but the current GPU market is highly volatile, with unreasonable prices. My 6900 XT still performs well in all other games, so replacing it just for DayZ feels unjustified.

Before making the decision to change my GPU, could you suggest a possible solution? Or perhaps you could work with AMD to ensure that everything functions properly?

Best regards,
Oleksandr
