Overall explosives feel good but there is inconsistency in their power, operation, and reactivity to other explosives or resource points.
landmines are great at taking out an entire building but they seem to struggle with trying to cause chain reactions or interacting with charges. Often trying to place charges on the ground will place the stick below the floor. A single charge doesn't blow up a landmine, often if the charge isn't in the exact right position they don't do anything. Likewise charges often are not enough to take out a building on their own without using a large amount of them. i haven't checked the exact number, but i feel that they should be more effective if spaced through a building. It would be nice if charges and Landmines had more interconnection. Having a simpler interaction for placing a charge directly on a Mine or Mortar shell as a sort of IED would be very useful.

Building destruction works well for the most part. The general feedback i have found is that it's a great first step and changes the game in a positive way but that players want more sectional destruction in the future where walls can be taken out or holes blown out of barns. No one is expecting full scale Frostbite style destruction, but that's still what is often cited as a "gold standard" or used as a comparison.
Some of the issues with destruction include if you build compositions too close to a building and destroy the building, the composition will get taken underground with the building making it inaccessible.

Some additional things of note while playing with explosives:

Mortar shells do not interact with other explosives at all right now. See pic below, multiple explosives were set up next to the shell and had no impact.


Some examples of the above mentioned explosive charge issues. Charges had no effect on the land mine until it was right buffed up next to it. Maybe this is intentional behavior, but it's the type of thing that you have to "know" if you want to use.

Fuel resource points also don't interact with explosives. It was cool to see that built fuel point compositions can now be destroyed, but upon trying to destroy static points on the map i found they do not explode. The structures around them do, but you can still use the pumps. Tested in GM at and around Monti, but this behavior was also observed in Conflict. Being able to take out static fueling points could really help in creating Fuel as a more valuable resource, especially with recent gas can changes and aforementioned fuel depot destruction.



Supply stashes also do not interact with explosives. Pics show a completely destroyed Monti with the noted Supply stashes floating in the air.
