My character I had on Cherno server 4403 North American NY 1st person loaded into Livonia server 5107 North America NY 1st person.
I was under the impression that your Cherno character and your Livonia one were separate ones? I hadn't selected my survivor, I just launched from the launcher server browser.
Launch from DayZ launcher and it'll automatically take your main official character even if it's only been on Cherno and dump it into Livonia
This kinda screws my friend and I who were surviving on 4403 over since now I have to track back to where we were.
Attempted with another character (This one was named differently than my main), and it still loaded my main cherno character into Livonia, this may be the breaking point for me not buying the DLC is that I can't have a character for each island.
This is by design. You have 1 option. First person severs have a separate database from third person. Play the opposite of what you and your friend are playing on.
This is done so if a server shuts down or goes down for maintenance, you can log onto another server to play.
I suggest you and your friend find a community server to play on. Each community server has their own player database.
This is no longer true, my character that is named "Falcon" has been on both THP and FP servers. I transferred over to 4403 from a third person server. My buddy and I both moved to 4403 from 4763 which is a Third person server, and he still had all his items from the other server, as did I with the same stats..
First person and Third person databases are the same now.
