Progression feels bad in Sakhal.
New, NormalPublic

Description

I don't believe this is a bug so I will just make this post a suggestion. I want to preface this with the fact that this map looks phenomenal and easily the most detailed map of the three.

Progression on this map obviously deviates from what we're used to on Chernarus and Livonia. Even if we don't fully understand he design philosophy behind the player progression here, I feel like I'm not alone in feeling like Sakhal's loot is very underwhelming. I'm not great at verbalizing what exactly feels bad about this so I'll try to keep it concise and hope someone else who feels the same way can make a better, more well thought-out suggestion than I can.
This is what I've been able to see both as a player, progressing through the map and viewing the maps loot distribution with admin tools.

  • Tier 2 Military area towards the center of the main island pose much more risk than what you get out of it. Food is very limited in these areas, it is significantly colder, and more predator spawns in these areas. A huge number of Colt 45s and Skorpions spawning and not much else. Tier 3/4 Military is better with the benefit of having virtually no struggle for food (Fishing)
  • Limiting Tier 3/4 zones to AK74's and Vikhrs makes them almost feel not worth it. Reserving NATO weapons to dynamic military crates in my opinion, is a poor decision. I understand it was meant to better fit the narrative behind Sakhal. But looting these islands for military crates is virtually 0 risk. Meanwhile, the largest, southern-most military zone on the map has relatively bad rewards by comparison.
