Hi there. Is it possible to render grass further than the current small radius limit? I know it is like it now because of making servers life easier and saving some fps, BUT... very nice feature about grass is that you can just lie down and sometimes player can walk near you within 5-7m and not even spot you, not even talking about possessing of a ghilly suit, that green thing gives you even more advantage. Imagine having grass rendered at a 500m distance so you could hide in it - that would be really nice. Of course, players will have to move so they won't be crawling all the time. That should terminate the issue when players would be impossible to spot. So maybe there is a way to add grass rendered further, with the help of low poly models maybe, and put it on the shoulders of the client if server can't handle it at all (like with increased render distance in 1.26). The point is when you can avoid another player in close quarters simply by lying down on the grass - that is very cool. That isn't 100% guaranteed and depends mostly on opponents' perception and concentration, but it still gives you some chance. Having something like this at larger distances would be very nice too.

Currently there are no plans on our end to increase grass render range due to the performance impact this would have. However modders can increase the render distance in the world config

in meters.
