Hello! I can confirm that I'm still experiencing the same issue. I double checked with the stable branch, and it has a silky smooth transition in comparison.

As of 1.2.1.127, swapping between windows seems to be perfect. There's no freezing or stuttering on my end anymore.

After a long time the game comes to life, but I get kicked out of the server and get this message

QUERY_TIMEOUT

If you don't return to the game for a long time, you will be kicked from the server for this reason, when your game freezes

Related to T186929 and should be resolved by future update.

It is caused by some incorrect data in downloaded addons regardless if they are loaded which is reason why it would happen only sometimes.
