I would like to suggest an object to add to the game
The Rainwater collector!
Crafted with 3 long Sticks and a piece of Tarp
The 3 sticks in a V formation with the Tarp funnelling water down to a point, where a water container will be waiting to collect it

Once this is crafted, you can attach a water container to the collector, and it will fill at a speed tied to how heavy the rainfall is.
This should fill at a much FASTER Rate than the existing method of leaving a Barrel open in the rain
As an additional feature I believe that if you leave a Cooking pot on the ground in the rain it should fill up, but far slower than with the rain collector

My first thought was to have this work for the cooking pot, yet to ensure it remains as useful as possible, I think it should work for any water container. Bottles, and Pots for example. Perhaps also a Jerry Can
Why do I think this should be added?
As mentioned previously, this crafting recipe uses "Tarp" the existing material in the game. This material is not utilised anywhere aside from to create an improvised shelter
Adding extra utility to existing items in the game is good!
With it requiring a single tarp, and 4 long sticks, it is an inexpensive recipe, relatively speaking
I also believe it would be good from an immersion standpoint. Dying of dehydration while it's raining, especially when I have a pot that I could, realistically, hold up to collect water, would be a frustrating experience. Additionally, if I was to set up a water collector, and have it persist with a flag, I could leave the pots to fill and form a supply of clean water.
Event Timeline
Quick correction: I believe the crafting recipe should require 3 long sticks, not 4. Perhaps a "Collector kit" similar to the existing "Fence kits" etc could be used to lay the base for this
