The problem manifests intermittently once there is an attachment hierarchy of 4 levels and affects other players besides myself. Sometimes it occurs immediately after login, while other times it only appears after playing for a few minutes.

- Log in with item spawning powers or DayZDiag_x64.exe.
- Spawn any item that will accept more than 3 items being attached in succession (ex.: PlateCarrierVest).
- Recursively add attachments until you have at least a 4 level depth item hierarchy (ex.: PlateCarrierVest < PlateCarrierHolster < LongHorn < PistolOptic). All items must be items that will be visible when they are attached (a.k.a attachment proxies).
- Observe the items as "world objects" or from a 3rd person perspective (default key binding v).
The issue persists regardless of graphics settings, especially when items are visualized as a third-person or "world object" (non-view_pilot LOD). Restarting the game may temporarily resolve the issue for a short period of time. Note that the problem also affects the character visualized in the main menu.
Event Timeline
Yeah, you know. I am pretty sure this happens to me all the time. Or something like that.
i have noticed this happens all the time too akol, im glad im not the only one who noticed :D
Acog is 4 has that bug since the beginning, because it has different VP and 1 LODS (VP is more detailed, and 1st is less, that is why it has squared round screws). And as you know game view menu when you look at objects description renders 1st lod, not VP.
Just to clarify: the difference between the first-resolution LOD and the View-Pilot LOD is not what I'm reporting here. The actual issue is that the lowest-resolution LOD is being displayed instead of the first-resolution LOD (highest non-View-Pilot resolution LOD) when in third-person perspective at close distances, as shown in the screenshots above.
