I originally had a ruined backpack yesterday, found a DMR, put it in my backpack, and it was full with other stuff as well. I never took it off. I logged out. When I came back the DMR had vanished. I thought it must be some rule when putting weapons inside a ruined backpack. I had a SVAL on my shoulder (still had same backpack on), I had the SVAL in my hands, I had to log out again, when I came back the SVAL was gone. I immediately decided to find another backpack. I thought the problem was with the backpack naturally. I am currently at NW airfield with a worn backpack in my hands, put my AK74 inside, and filled with a bunch of other things (mainly cans of drink). I then proceeded to drop the backpack, while I emptied a magazine i found (to fill a mag I already had). When I went to pick the backpack back up, it was gone, vanished.
