[Feature Request] Anti-Tank Parity - RPG-26 & Mk153 SMAW
Feedback, NormalPublic

Description

Currently as it stands, there is pretty good parity between weapon sets for both US and Soviet, but where the biggest separation lies is within the anti-tank assets. So far the US have the disposable M72 and the Soviets have the reloadable RPG7, now with optics on the experimental branch. Assuming the OG-7 HE round might make an appearance for the Soviets as it was a widespread issue warhead, the US will be outgunned for shoulder fired rocketry.

So my suggestion is to add the RPG-26 to be the on-par disposable AT asset for the Soviets, and then add the Mk153 SMAW for the US (assuming the current force portrayed for the US is Marines based on the upcoming LAV). Both weapons entered service in the 80s and it would create weapon parity for both factions. FIA could still have the RPG as they currently do but also gain the RPG-26. The SMAW can mount optics like the RPG and can have both HEAT and HE rounds. Plus it compacts up which would make for a cool animation!

An alternative to the SMAW would be the Carl Gustav.
