2024.02.20 22:45 EST ARMA Reforger Everon US-NY server # 13246395

For my particular scenario, I was delivering supplies to a remote forward operating base using one of the Mi-8 helicopters flying low with auto hover mode, while another teammate player, flying fast and erratically, with a UH-1 intentionally collided with my helicopter. Likely assumed I was enemy. (Obvious the player attempted no verification prior to his aggressive action.) The collision occurred at close to ground level, with most player(s) likely surviving, one of the teammates then encountered myself and immediately team-killed myself, while both are name tags were apparent indicating friendlies. Both players (I and the team-killer) were wearing similar gear and equipment, however I was banned for no intentional killing, performing a passive/support operation with a vehicle. Players were also likely not using a microphone, possibly even possibly lacking game audio, as I was on platoon radio looking for a base nearby. Computer (or administrator present) merrily assumed I was the cause, by some odd rational. Possible, knowing ARMA, probably some archaic/simplified ban routine assuming all players present were team-killers just because they were present. Had the computer or admin taken the time, they would have easily likely have seen I had significant building/supply points, and was obviously not team-killing.

Hello rogerx.
We will require further information to properly analyse this.

How many players were in your helicopter?
Did the teamkiller kill him and his teammates by crashing another helicopter in the your helicopter causing it to crash on the ground?
Did the helicopter explode on the ground or did it just land, damaged, and hurting all players inside of it?

My helicopter had no passengers, that I knew of, except for having supplies loaded onboard. Since I usually carry or carried a radio, and players used to spawn on non-deployed radios, quite common for players to spawn around or within my vehicle without myself knowing for extended periods of time.

The other helicopter was occupied by at least one other player, the pilot, one person verified alive on the ground alive just prior to myself being incorrectly kicked. I did not have a chance to verify wreckage area of the aggressively flown helicopter, as I was kicked soon after crash landing, only having enough time for walking nearby around the second helicopter wreckage, and verifying one player was alive from the aggressively flown helicopter. Only had enough time for politely asking why he purposely flew into my helicopter before being friendly killed by him.

I may still have the log file from the incident, and might be able to submit the file.

Have you received friendly fire notification before getting kicked?

rogerx added a comment.Wed, Apr 3, 7:27 PM

If I'm not mistaken, friendly fire notices are posted to the upper left message window on the display/screen, and on larger screens, I rarely am aware of the upper left window messages, however, most times I do take notice of friendly fire messages. From what I can recall, I received no notice of a friendly fire message, pretty sure of this.

Myself being US forces, was flying an Mi-8 due to availability, while another (apparently) friendly unit/person was flying a UH-1, very likely assumed I was enemy based on using an enemy flight model, however, subsequently team killed myself once on ground while trying to inquire why he purposely sought-out and flew directly into my rotary aircraft. It would be easy to further assume he was enemy, all dressed in friendly unit uniform, but that would not explain the subsequent kick/ban.

Odd, just went to find the log file, finding everything deleted older than March 13, 2024. Looks like the arma reforger 1.1 update wiped/deleted all older logs!

Hello rogerx.
Unfortunately this info was not useful to us. All our testing on the kick system shown it works as expected for the time being.

Next time please add logs, clip, screenshots and in overall more than just a subjective account of the situation.

Geez
