Server is PBS EU1. It's a vanilla server with 128 players.

Projectiles damage is done serverside.
The clientside projectile is only visiual and is often desync from the server.
This is a server-side hit detection issue.
The vehicle position is different on the server and the rocket being fired is delayed by 50+ms.
You must aim way AHEAD of the target, especially when it's moving at high speed (even at close range)
Perhaps the clientside trigger can be delayed to match the server projectile?

I know it's done server-side, just like vehicles.
If it results in this kind of problems, it should be changed.
I just signalled the problem. Many players complain about this accusing other of cheating and lagging on purpose.
