After verifying installing files and even reinstalling the game, I am unable to launch the game via the launcher. Every attempt yields the 0xC000041D - STATUS FATAL USER CALLBACK EXCEPTION error message and the game immediately hard crashes to desktop.

Looks like some of your mod related files got corrupted.
We suggest deleting the mods, deleting the dayz folders in documents and verifying the game data through Steam (Make sure Steam cloud sync is disabled). Then try to run the game. If it works, redownload your mods.

That was the first thing I did, even with a clean install of DayZ and redownloaded mod files, i'm still receiving that error

Apologies for asking since you did not specify, but did you run DayZ without the mods and have you tried to connect to the official servers?

i can connect to official servers with the occasional hard crash to desktop. i'll try doing another fresh install and removing and redownloading all the mods and see if that resolves the issue
