This is obviously not a major bug but one that annoys me on my hardcore server: if you find a badly damaged rope and combine it with short sticks you instantly get a pristine rope back. Not usually a big deal, except on hardcore servers it basically gives you an infinite improvised fishing rod and other rope-based kits & items if you exploit it, which is hard not to once you discover it.
