Since 1.22 any item with EnergyManager e.g. using any Power Source such as Power Generator don't work properly.
On my tests i used:

• Power Generator
• Cable Reel
• Construction Light

What works:

1. Place Power Generator (add Spark Plug and Fill Gasoline)
2. Take Cable Reel and connect to Power Generator
3. Take Construction Light and connect to Cable Reel or Power Generator (both ways work here)

What does not work:

1. Place Power Generator (add Spark Plug and Fill Gasoline)
2. Place Construction light (without connecting yet!)
3. Take Cable Reel and connect to Power Generator, then to Construction light.
4. It will disconnect all items immediately.

This is very unfortunate, because a lot of mods (including mine) use Items which need a Power source but you can not take them in Hands, so only the second way which currently does not work since 1.22 is possible.
