Access to PC Server in DayZ Steam Launcher

Description

When trying to access servers on the 14th & today, I saw the launcher behaving slower than usual. Also did not allow me to see my regular server (not official)

On looking into the server list I found the following change from yesterday. A large number of apparently Chinese origin servers operating on various outdated software. I dont know if this is the cause of the issue, but from earlier experience with these "ghost servers" (some are dead, some are alive etc), earlier this year, the same issue was occurring.

The 1.21 servers refer to a DayZ China . . . most seem to be dead, but some are alive
The 1.20.155844 servers dont have any webpage reference & seem to have one person playing on all of them

We have noticed this as well and it is possible it is some sort of issue on Steam side.
We will keep investigating.
Also does it happen today still?

Access to the server (for me) has improved now (today) , but the number of servers on the outdated or "false" release versions - 1.21 have increased


of thew 1.21 servers more are moving from dead to live, but with no visible players

of the 1.20.155844 servers a large percentage are live & spoofing a player

Issue is happening again
Launcher is finding a maximum of 8278 servers

of which a percentage are not possible to play on for various reasons
(unless of course you have retained one or more of those versions on your pc by not updating .. )


& I cannot see my server. I can log in through play but this does not help those inexperienced players
& there are 41000 servers to look for . . . at various stages or levels of completion.


Relatively, in my opinion this is a (low level) DDOS attack on your launcher (for whatever reason, I cannot imagine - steam id maybe, pc virus loading??)

strike that, now I cannot reach the server at all, but the server is there & active

Happening again - no access through server search or favourites - Access through play
