The audio output will change when you switch between 1st person and 3rd person. In the first example your hear from your character ears because you see through his eyes and the camera is placed "in the head". In the second one, your hear from the "3rd person camera ears", so slightly upper & behind the character you're controlling.
From my PoV, the sound should ALWAYS be the same and represent what the player hears from their character's ears and not the camera PoV.
