When combining two items, one of the items disappears. Examples:

Combining unknown can of food with kitchen knife (to open it), can of food disappears
Combining badly damaged pants with full duct tape to (to repair pants), duct tape disappears. Pants get fixed though (status from badly damaged set to damaged)
