[Bug report] TrackIR headtracker function now non functional in turrets.
Awaiting internal Testing, NormalPublic

Description

When using a US turret mounted weapon (Humvee M2, M151A2, M2HB and M60 tripod plus the machine gun nests M2HB and M60) it is no longer possible to utilise TrackIR correctly. TrackIR works as normal as infantry, but once in a turret it is no longer possible to look around as before. Pressing the 'freelook' key does allow a look around function, but this disables the guns traverse function, so it can no longer be aimed.

Freelook should never normally be required when using TrackIR.
This was working previously, and has been a problem since one of the newer patches (since Ground Support I believe). This makes it even harder to use turreted weapons effectively.

Just also tested with PKM mounted in a nest, same issue.

While using TrackIR enter a US turret weapon system (M60/M2HB) in any of the examples above.
without using ADS, try looking around using just trackIR, it will not work.
Press the freelook key (default: L ALt), now you can look around with the TrackIR headset, but you can no longer aim the gun with the mouse.

First noticed with the ground support patch, still present with 0.9.7.53.

Update. When reloading the gun, the headtracker begins working again, thjen stops once the reload is completed. Otherwise trackIR remains inoperative in the turret.
