I don't know if this is replicatible as it easy to avoid the infected.
But I got 2 bleeds and had to take the time to fist fight the guilty 'zombie' and then disinfect some bandages. So the blood icons was already down to red by the time I bandaged. And as you can see from the IMGUR screenshot, 2 of the blood decals stayed onscreen.
