Fire mode in player interface has a chance not match current fire mode, when using Anti Personnel Missile.
New, NormalPublic

Description

The Anti Personnel Missile of Titan Launcher Compact does not support the TOP fire mode, this Missile able attack only in DIRECT Fire Mode.
But if player, currently in TOP fire mode will change missile from AT-Missile, to AP-Missile, then in the player UI (Icon of fire mode in the screen corner) the Top fire mode will not be changed automatically to the corresponding direct mode. Player UI must not cheat Player - it should show only currently supported fire mode.

This was work before update 2.08, most likely broken by recent updates.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Place in the map missile specialist with AT-Missile and AP-Missile
  2. Make sure your Titan Compact is loaded with AT-Missile
  3. Switch your Titan Compact to TOP fire mode (look at the icon in the player interface, it will show that you are currently in top fire mode)
  4. Open your inventory (I-key) and change your missile from AT-Missile to AP-Missile
  5. You will see that the icon still shows that you are in top fire mode, which impossible, because AP-Missile cannot attack from above.

Same in 2.06

Same in 2.06

I admit it. Maybe I got the version numbers wrong. But what I do know is that in the past when using AP-Missile , the player interface always showed the correct fire mode. (Direct)

@BIS_fnc_KK

Won't you fix it?

The changes to firemode were post 2.06, so I cannot confirm or deny how it was pre 2.06, but I can definitely tell you this has nothing to do with persistent firemode. Will I fix it? Don't know, apart from showing topdown on UI, it doesn't show it in weapon UI and it doesnt do topdown attack if you fire AP. So it is cosmetic at this point unless you could prove otherwise.

Especially! Do you see any contradictions here?

it doesn't show it in weapon UI and it doesnt do topdown attack if you fire AP

Exactly. This should not happen as it is misleading to the player himself. The player must have a clear understanding of which missile is loaded into his installation and how this missile will attack the target. (Direct ot Top)

For example, I play partially with the interface disabled (type and amount of ammo disabled on the screen), which type of missile is currently loaded. Thus, to see this, (!as in real life), I should to open inventory. So, if I didn't have time to open the inventory, then I can be deceived by the game, because I will see the TOP fire mode in the current weapon fire mode, and I will be sure that I have AT-Missile, while the AP-Missile will be loaded in my Titan launcher!
In this case, the Player will try to attack the heavy armor, but will be useless in this case and will die. There is such a chance. The game interface should not lie, under any circumstances!

So it is cosmetic at this point unless you could prove otherwise.

It's not only a cosmetic bug.
As I described above, for players playing without the partically interface (type and amount of ammo on the screen) partially disabled, this becomes a problem/
Is it really that hard to fix this microscopic interface bug?
