Rope not displayed properly when created from parachutes
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

While parachutes are considered a valid transport vehicle, when ropes are created from it they don't behave correctly : they typically stay stuck mid-air, not moving at all. However, only the display is broken : any object attached to this rope will work properly, swinging around as expected.

Steps To Reproduce

Get yourself flying with a parachute. Use the debug console to spawn a rope from this parachute with : ropeCreate [vehicle player, "pos driver", 6]
This will spawn a 6m rope mid-air at the right position, but as soon as the game is unpaused and the player carry on its way, the rope will visually glitch, staying mid-air.

Can also be observed with an attached object (for example a crate like "Land_PlasticCase_01_medium_F" : the crate behave as if it was correctly hanging under the parachute, but the rope is still visually glitched.

It seems it was already reported in https://feedback.bistudio.com/T157379

Apparently I can't close this task to merge it with @ampersand38 's one, I don't know why : in the search field, whatever I typed, no task is displayed as a result, and so I can't select any.
