Steps To Reproduce

On any major Linux distribution

  1. Install Arma 3 via Steam
  2. Install Proton BattlEye Runtime via Steam
  3. Force the Proton compatibility tool (any version > 6.3-8 should do)
  4. Launch Arma 3 and connect to any official server with BattlEye enabled
  5. Client get kicked with BattlEye: Bad Packet
Additional Information

To clarify this issue is about running the Windows version of Arma 3 under Linux using the Proton compatibility tool. It has nothing to do with the Linux version of Arma 3.

Connecting to any server with BattlEye disabled is not an issue.

As other games using BattlEye (DayZ for instance) have currently no issues with BattlEye, so it is an Arma 3 specific problem.
