Crates becoming unburied on official server (server issue or ESP hacks?)
Need More Info, NormalPublic

Description

This thing happened to me three times now and is making me quit DayZ for a while. Essentially I have three separate clusters of crates buried in the woods around Gorka. Today was the third time EVERY single crate came out of the ground to the surface and most of them were looted.
I tried to find a pattern and the only thing that makes me think that there might be someone hacking is that I might have killed or injured someone before my all of my stashes were found. First time I came in direct contact and exchanged fire with a guy (he also looked a bit suspicious as he seemed to see me through some thick bushes) and died. Second and third time I went offline leaving my small base guarded by some grenade/trip wires and mines. Logged in and found all defenses gone or triggered and all of my crates up and looted.
Can't say with certainty if this is a hacking issue or some weird server thing, but I'm marking the severity of this very frustrating issue as 'Major' as I don't see a point playing this game and wasting time getting gear as it just disappears.
May Lawd have mercy on someone who wants to play the game without cheating.

Greetings,

I play Official Servers exclusively and can confirm that something is generally wrong with buried wooden crates. Its unlikely that this is just a cheater jumping from server to server to undig crates as it happens just around every 2,5 days of buried time.

Boxes DO unearth themself on their own, thats a fact every player can confirm on official, and it seems to happen after the unusual server restarts.

Sometimes the announcement says "40 mins till restart" and five minutes in you lose connection. After you rejoin there is no restart in 40 mins and a stroll trough the woods nets you at least 5 previously buried boxes with nice things.

I do like the mechanic but it isn't save at all and needs a rework (same with "base building" but thats another case) since you could just dump the chest next to a tree and hope for the best.

Hello Ufopilot.
Do you remember on which official server have you experienced this recently? If you could also provide date and approximate time, that would be very hepful.

Greetings,

Thank you for your Time to reply.

We had the Problem on Official Server DE 4013, Timeframe is a bit tricky but we encountered the problem from around the 23.12 to 27.12 of last year. We stopped burying stuff after that.

However, it may very well just be ESP cheaters since we encountered 1 crate that was buried for a whole week. Hope we get clear info, whatever it may be.

Hello Ufopilot.
We have been testing the issue thoroughly but we had no luck in producing it on our end. In case you come across any other information which could lead us towards producing the issue, please let us know here.
Regards,
Geez

I've had this happen to me as well, sea chest buried in the middle of the forest below a tree, got dug up the next day.

I've also experienced blatant speed hackers and invisible hackers.

There doesn't seem to be an effective way to quickly and effectively report hackers.

In a few other games if you suspect a hacker there is a report button, could this be implemented in dayz?
