Description

When I try to open Dayz I get a black screen with a spinning blue icon. After some time I have to open talk manager and end process the "not responding" program. I was able to play on Friday. Server I always play exclusively reset. When I went to rejoin 10 minutes later I fist got this problem. This is what I have tried, hope I'm not forgetting anything:

Deleted DayZ 2x
Deleted steam 2x
Checked integrity of files
Tried to start game though steam, nvidea experience and dayz sa launcher - on modded and unmodded servers
Spoke with the servers admins, they tried to help but they say its not on their end

Nothing changed of any note when I took that brake from playing. It's so frustrating. Not as frustrating as the game itself.

I Have the crash report but nowhere to attach it.

When you say "open DayZ" do you mean the launcher? or once you select the server in the launcher?

Hello beantownbee.

Can you please try the following?:

Verify the game data through Steam and delete the configuration files when prompted to do so (Make sure Steam Cloud Sync is disabled prior to doing this) or delete the C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ folder manually

Open the DayZ launcher
Select PARAMETERS menu
Select ALL PARAMETERS tab
scroll down and check "Bulldozer" parameter
Launch the game
Once launched, close the game
Uncheck bulldozer
Launch the game again without any parameters
