Feature request: Deleting a mod from the launcher to delete it from your workshop folder, saving the space on HD without needing to search for it and delete manually after
Need More Info, NormalPublic

Description

When deleting a mod from the Arma Launcher it removes a shortcut only (not the actual mod files) in SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Arma 3\!Workshop

However, it does not remove the actual mod from the workshop itself, only the above shortcut.

It would be great if it did delete the workshop mod located in this folder instead: SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\107410\mod-id-number-folder-here

The !Workshop folder is handled by the Arma Launcher.
The steam workshop/content folder is managed by steam, we have no influence on how Steam handles its content.

Steam should be deleting the mod content when you unsubscribe from the mod.

Question is, does the Launcher unsubscribe when you "delete" ?
Or does it only remove the folder?

If the launcher doesn't unsubscribe when you select "delete" then we can fix that

Just double checked - It does unsubscribe successfully. Steam doesn't remove mods when unsubscribing, it seems to be a common issue when googling for it. Not sure if it's just Arma or other games though as I haven't used the workshop enough in other games to know.

As the folder in !Workshop deletes, maybe this is something I should report to Steam then it seems? The !Workshop folder is just a shortcut to the main mod folder of Steam right?

Arma launcher only handles the !Workshop folder and links in there.
Steam handles its own folder.
Maybe we need to poke steam to actually delete stuff, don't know if we can do that
