Placing fence kits, watchtower kits and shelters has become almost impossible. 1.13 was decent but 1.14 is really terrible in respect to placing kits.

I understand that the topography of the ground is crucial but I am having extreme difficulty placing these kits even on flat ground.

Some anecdotal evidence:

  1. In 1.13, it was possible to build 4 fences around a flag pole. It is not allowed in 1.14.
  1. The area on Klen hill where watchtower can be placed is much smaller in 1.14.

Issue is terrible. I've been constructing a base at Nizhnoye in the small harbor there. Any texture change or structure makes the kit unplaceable. Was trying to close up my fence by the edge of the water and by the preexisting walls out front and no matter how I angle them it will not allow placement even without collision with another object. My gate had to be centered on the road, the lighter textured dirt, any overlap into the dirt surrounding it would make it unplaceable.

Yes, it's really terrible. In the absence of a construction system, shelters seemed to be a salvation. But no, their placement is possible only on a flat surface...there are not many places with flat surfaces in the forest, there are mountains and hills all around. How do you propose to put shelters in the middle of an open area, where it is useless. I would like corrections in this direction, as well as the development of the construction system.........Of course, improved construction will lead to a greater workload of the server with buildings, this can be attributed to a decrease in the lifetime of buildings....Look at the official servers for interest, there are large bases that have been destroyed, huge areas are being built up that do not save from a raid......It doesn't make sense to build a base at the moment.......Making caches? OK, to bury the cache, you need a shovel that wears out, but you can't fix it.... axes, saws can be repaired, but a shovel can't - it's great (((...... Make shelters? so where should I place it, in the forest? well, try to find flat surfaces there? I think we need to change the building system! fences are good, but why do I need a fence in a building? In life, I can just make a door and close the windows with boards (in Scum) this is already implemented, but I want to see it in my favorite Dayz. Need to supplement and focus on building, the players want to score their houses. And most importantly, now there is no point in locks, because the base can be broken by any object, which also affects the meaninglessness of the design. And the most important thing is that even with fences I can't build a normal house, not crooked like most people. it destroys the atmosphere for me
