I'm here to suggest a possible feature for the new patch that should accompany the 1.14. my idea is to give us the ability to create Improvised gas mask filters from a water bottle and charcoal tabs.

I think it would be a great idea since there isn't any uses for the charcoal tabs outside of chemical/food poison healing.

If this is something that cannot happen then at least the ability to open the original filter with a knife or some tool and then be able to refill it with charcoal.

And yes, if they get crafted or refilled by the player the filters should not be as good as the original in a sense where they run out faster or only being able to fill up to a certain usage percentage. As well as if the the player forgets about their filter and uses it up all the way it should still cause it to be ruined giving the insensitive to remember to fill them up or finding new ones.
