Sometimes, a character climbing a ladder gets trapped by another player or a zombie. When a zombie stands just below the ladder, the climbing character cannot get off the ladder, even if the player were willing to risk some damage.
This is especially problematic when one is climbing a ladder that leads to nowhere (e.g. a transformer house where the ladder only leads to a locked trapdoor). If the ladder is somewhat short, the zombie will be forever aggroed and will never leave (unless another player shows up), forcing the player to remain on the ladder until the character dies of thirst/hunger/bleeding.
If the ladder leads to somewhere, the player may still be forced to do a very long and very boring climb to the top. E.g. one might be trapped on a ladder of an industrial chimney steam pipe. Ultimately, the zombie becomes bored and wanders elsewhere, but when the player starts his or her descent, there is the risk that another zombie shows up by chance and the character is trapped again.
I suggest a command be added that allows one to jump off a ladder, risking some damage but getting to the bottom fast. Heck, I'd say such a jump should also damage the zombie, because realistically, if a person carrying 50 kg of stuff lands on your head, that's gonna hurt.
