Vehicle radio antennas behave strangely under acceleration
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Some CSLA vehicles are fitted with flexible antennas which bend and flex under acceleration and deceleration. On the surface, this is fine; I love a good wiggly bit. However, many of these flexible antennas seem to bend to an excessive degree under even relatively calm conditions, snapping into 45-degree forward bends at the slightest tap of the brakes.

It is possible to have a flexible antenna within Arma 3 that behaves in a believable manner - the CSLA SKOT has a perfectly good antenna, and GM vehicles such as the SpPz Luchs and BRDM-2 have very serviceable antenna physics. So it would seem to just be a case of refining the limits and sensitivity of the CSLA antennas.
