Navmesh generator crashing
Reviewed, UrgentPublic

Description

Navmesh generator is crashing no matter what I try. When I run it as usual, sometimes it does nothing apart for showing an empty console window for a split second, sometimes it produces a error "instruction at 0x76e0cdc3 is refering to memory at adress 0xffffffff. memory could not be read". The instruction adress is always the same, and I was unable to procure the process dump file. The other scenario is running it from the command prompt, in which case it also crashes, but with a different error message (cmd arguments and xml error report from eventvwr provided in the additional information). When I boot the system in safe mode and run it from the cmd, it gets further (to "Generating 0%") before crashing. If required, I will provide process dumps for both normal and safe mode crashes.

This issue started suddenly, I have not done anything with my software or hardware. In attempt to fix this issue, I installed windows updates, updated my GPU drivers, tried running it in administrator mode, running it with antivirus disabled, nothing worked so far.

Hello twoxu.
This does not have to be caused by the navmesh generator necessarily. It is possible that there is some invalid data in the map.

Geez

It is not crashing when I connect to the server, it just refuses to start altogether. I cannot execute the navmesh gen exe any way without it crashing right away, other than having it show me the -help prompt when run from command line. This has nothing to do with my map.
