Game will not load. I launch DayZ from Desktop Icon and have attempted to launch game via inbuilt server browser and launcher and by just pressing PLAY. I have attempted to join Official vanilla servers Chernarus and Livonia as well as community modded servers.
Instead of loading to a DayZ loading screen the display goes black and I see only the Windows blue progress circle. After a couple of minutes this disappears and hangs any other processes running on PC.
This is new since Sunday 7th March, have not encountered this particular issue previously, but at present it is happening every time I try to launch game.
I have tired validating the game files through Steam to no effect and have also tried a fresh install of game to no effect.

Steps To Reproduce
Click DayZ desktop shortcut to Launcher.
Use game's own launcher and server browser or just press PLAY to launch game.
Nothing loads but black screen and Windows blue progress wheel.
When that finishes all other processes hang on PC requiring task manager closing.

Please, try the following:
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\*YourID*\
In there, you have the following folders
221100 for stable client
1024020 for experimental
Delete the whole 221100 folder.
Verify the game data through Steam and delete the configuration files when prompted to do so (Make sure Steam Cloud Sync is disabled prior to doing this)
(you can also delete the config files manually by deleting the contents of your C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ folder)
then
Open the DayZ launcher
Select PARAMETERS menu
Select ALL PARAMETERS tab
scroll down and check "Bulldozer" parameter
Launch the game
Once launched, close the game
Uncheck bulldozer
Launch the game again without any parameters

There is a possibility that your configuration files have got corrupted or there has been an issue loading a modded character in the menu. Doing the steps above cleared the config files and also characters that load in the menu.
