When you enter the "scenarios" section, the game crashes.
New, NormalPublic

Description

After the 2.02 update, the game began to crash without an error when clicking on the "scenarios" item.
After the release of the hotfix, the error "0xc0000005 - STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION" appeared.
It is noteworthy that all the other items are working properly - the problem relates exclusively to the "scenarios" section, and appeared after the update.

Conducted methods:

  1. Update all device drivers;
  2. Launch without mods;
  3. Reset Settings;
  4. Run with different methods-malloc;
  5. Delete the game folders in the "My Documents" section";
  6. Run in 32-bit execution;
  7. Launch with different windows compatibility properties;

All this did not help, maybe there are more ideas?

Hi there, do you have a large list of subscribed Workshop scenarios, for example more than 2000?

SAME PROBLEM here, tried everything yo0ga tried - no success. any suggestions?

yo0ga added a comment.Mar 9 2021, 10:43 AM

No, no more than 5.

OK, we hope to have a fix available to test later this week via a beta branch.
If you'd like to try something before that, you can try unsubscribing from the 5 scenarios one-by-one. One or more of them probably cause the CTD. Later you can subscribe again of course.

at the moment theres only one scenario in the singleplayer section: old man. once i subscribe to any sp scenario from steam, the game crashes

Oh, it worked! I unsubscribed from my scripts, and then installed the ones I needed one by one - everything works!

A potential fix is now available on the Steam Profiling branch, see: https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/160288-arma-3-stable-server-202-performance-binary-feedback/ (should be multiplayer-compatible with 2.02 main branch)
Please can you let us know if that works even when you are subscribed to your scenarios?

works like a charm, thx a million. could you outline what the problem was?

I didn't put all the scripts back, but the main ones - I subscribed back and everything works great.

could you outline what the problem was?

A change in the SCENARIOS menu in 2.02 caused an issue with certain Workshop scenarios. These problems were likely connected to Cyrillic characters (f.e. Russian) in their titles or having very long titles. With this fix they should be properly processed again.

Thanks for the confirmations!
