Tying yourself up with rope/duct tape should be removed
Reviewed, NormalPublic

Description

It doesn't make sense from a realistic point of view and even less from a gameplay point of view. You lack the freedom of movement to effectively tie yourself up without help. And even if it was possible to restrict movement enough to justify this action there is little to no benefit in doing so.

In fact it's way too easy for a held up person to slightly move and cause you to start the default "restrain my hands" option.

It should be little to no effort of removing the action.

Hello RoyBeer.
Your suggestion has been passed on to the developers and will be considered. However, the feature can be used in role play purposes to distract an enemy or pretend that you have been captured by someone else.

Hey Geez,

Thanks for your quick response!

I considered the RP aspect and the bait one - however in situations like the latter you would not really want to completely immobilize yourself. On top of that a knowledgeable foe would easily identify your ruse by the small amount of time needed to free oneself. If there are others around (which would make sense for an ambush) it also should not be a problem for your accomplice to bind you.

In situations for RP a different way or a longer time to represent the added difficulty to restrain the hands that are doing the action could also help with identifying that something is wrong.

Maybe increasing the "window of opportunity" to restrain a surrendered enemy so that it's harder to restrain yourself by accident would also be a possibility?

Best regards,
Roy
