I think I'm getting this same problem. I hopped on yesterday to check my base and someone had tried breaking in. No problem. The problem is I can't fix some of the walls they broke. The prompt to repair won't appear on some walls.
I tried building some new walls inside as a test (Red roof barn) and I could place the fence kit fine but only build the lower half of the wall, even though there was no obvious clipping happening or anything else that would prevent me from building the top frame or wall.

Also, I would have been locked out of parts of my base if my friend didn't log on. It seems you have to get very close to locks before you can put the combo in now.

I also had a fence that was partially built (had the logs dug in for a while but never built any wall parts) and now I can't finish building it. Same problem as the other test walls, can build the bottom sections but not the top sections.

Thank you, this particular issue is currently being investigated. Do you have this issue even after the server restarts? Or if you manually attach a material to the wall?
