Wire Mesh Barriers cannot be damaged in any form of player combat (melee, guns, explosives) when it is placed and when it has dirt/stone inside of it. The attacks go straight through the deployed object.

Hello DrDeSync.
Wire Mesh Barrier is currently removed from spawns and is not supposed to be spawning in the game at this moment. This is a design decision that might change in the future.
The vanilla version of the game also has a short lifetime set on the box - if someone picks up an old box, this short lifetime will get applied to it and it should be cleaned up soon upon placing it. Untouched old boxes have the old 40 day lifetime sadly, therefore the clean up of these might take some time unless someone picks them up.
If your server has a modified lifetime to the old value, then there is nothing we can do as it is currently not supported item.
