Flying Cars at Startup
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

When the server starts it can happen that cars appear somewhere else than they was before the server stopped.
It seems like when the server starts, cars fall from heaven to place them and if there is not enough downforce the car bounce to some other place.
If you dont use a mod which disables the damage of cars, the cars can get wrecked from this bouncing and dissapear du to the cleanup if there is no player in the network bubble.

Additional Information

It seems that cars have basically a problem with downforce because cars, and more common modded cars, bounce around if your not driving and even when driing it still can hapen that you bounce over the map!

I confirm the issue (on the current stable vanilla version). On several occassions I have come across a Lada or a Golf several meters of from their spawn location. And sometimes spawning already damaged.

Also any car I leave and let go through server restart seems to either despawn or again move some meters away from the original location.

This makes cars practically unusable in the current version.

Hello bombjack.
Did you actually see the vehicles fall from the sky? As there is a known issue with the vehicles changing their position upon server restart, which can cause in their despawn due to being damaged by the unnatural movement https://feedback.bistudio.com/T139586 - however, we are not aware of the vehicles flying up the air.
Regards,
Geez

Hello Geez
no that was just my guessing how vehicle placing at startup works and my guessing that there is still a problem with downforce and thats why cars appear somewhere else!
