Many Animation bugs (IK) with guns (Reproducible)

So, I see lots of players that are holding their firearms all buggy looking whether it be a forearm holding the handguard, or the gun being levitating over their hands which is very annoying.

The best solution to counter a lot of these issues is DISABLE JUMPING while in raised stance for firearms (point-aiming, and Aiming Down Sights) and for melee weapons! @Geez

Steps To Reproduce

#1: Charging firearm melee
If you do the charging/sprinting power firearm melee attack, this IK animation bug occurs.

  1. Equip 2 handed fire-arm in hands
  2. Sprint
  3. Hold RMB to aim, and immediately press F to melee

#2: Jumping while the firearm is raised
If you jumping while the firearm is raised or in ADS the IK anims will bug out in several ways

  1. Raise the firearm (whether in point-aim or aim down sights)
  2. Jump forward, left, backwards, backwards left, forward left (high jumps) (couldn't glitch it on the right side)


#3: Jumping with the firearm lowered
If you just jump with the firearm in your hands in different directions, it can bug out.

  1. Have 2 handed firearms in your hands
  2. Do the high jump
  3. Jump forward, left, backwards, backwards left, forward left (couldn't glitch it on the right side)

Additional Information

I'll repeat this again since it's very important The best solution to counter a lot of these issues is DISABLE JUMPING while in raised stance for firearms (point-aiming, and Aiming Down Sights) and for melee weapons!

In raised melee stance, you are able to jump around as well which is just silly in a melee fight and should be disabled


You can also jump much higher with a gun out in hands compared to no gun which is silly (high jump variant)

On the topic of jumping, I would also like to mention that you can

  • Infinitely keep jumping even when your stamina runs out if you just press the jump button after each time the animation ends
  • Sprint jump away multiple times while in Yellow Health state (60%) to still evade danger waaaay faster and should be limited to just jogging jumps

I think Jumping should also use up much more stamina (3 jumps in a full bar) so it can't be abused so much in combat :/

Sorry for the constant pinging, if it really annoys or frustrating let me know :) I just have a lot of bugs/issues that I would like to get acknowledged and fixed ASAP and still have a lot more to report, so keep an eye on that.

@Geez Please, can you let us know if you guys are either aware of this issue or acknowledge/have it assigned already?

These glitches/bugs have been in for a while, and I haven't seen any assignment or acknowledgement on the issue so they can get fixed?

Seen this happening to often, especially when I watch twitch streams like Smoke, they are constantly getting to animation issues which seriously affect the visuals and gameplay.

There is also another method to reproduce this animation glitch and that is by

  • climbing ladders up normally or SHIFT fast climbing up resulting in the forehand being out of position on the gun

Also would like to know whether you are aware of the ladder and hands being out of sync with the rungs or even the mass rubberbanding when SHIFT climbing on server environments
Also, another issue is that big backpack blocked the ladder prompt

I think you guys may be aware, but if you didn't. There is differing animations for people on the client, vs. how it's synced on the server.

Sometimes it's desync-ed and it seems like it's consistently always happening. It can be perfectly fine looking on the client's end, but on the server and for other people it's completely disoriented.


Here is a very weird example that can happen when you are prone on your back aiming the gun.

The gun is first of all, below your hands, and the grips are all of where they should be (forearm on the handguard, the finger is below the gun trigger, the buttstock is floating above the shoulder, etc>)

Also, your head looks straight up too when prone??
