After the latest update to 1.03 i am no longer able to pass through the gates i have builded. i can open/close them but not pass through. the player character is stopped by an invinsible wall that seems just to have a collision with the player. like i can't hit it with an axe.

Can confirm this on our server too. We actually got the gates to work because the gates had camo nets on them. Removing and re-adding them to the fence seems to sort of reset the gate and then it'll work as intended. So I guess you always have to put something in the "inventory" of the gate to reset its behavior. This resets every time after server restart and you have to repeat the process. Couldn't test if every single player has to do it or if it's enough for one player to do it.
We got a couple of mods on our private server though: BuildAnywhere, BuilderItems and our own which just skins some clothing items.
Same here. Gates are broken, even those built in 1.03. After restart they have invisible wall. But workaround with cammo net, nail or plank work for now.
Hi all, I've tested:
Bare gate = OK
Wooden plank gate = bugged invisible wall
Bare gate with barbed wire = bugged invisible wall
Metal sheet gate = OK
Camonet attachment = OK
Update,
attachment material empty = OK
have attachment material before restart server = OK
have attachment material after restart server = bugged invisible wall

seems like if there are no attachment material after server restarts also causes invisible wall. what i did was put some nails and remove them to temporaryly fix it
Update on what I wrote:
It's enough to either add or remove an item from the inventory to reset the gate behavior (e.g just removing a camo net: gate works as intended) - also just tested that it's enough if one person does this to a gate, after that the gate is usable by others that don't have to repeat that procedure.
